Project Manager I

Buffalo Grove, IL

Part-Time: 16-20 hours/week (flexible remote/onsite)

Futures Lab – big warehouse space is being overhauled in partnership between CTO & Marketing.
Built a little “retail” space to showcase bar code readers, handheld scanners, but different departments have additional demos to set up.
Seeking someone to be the coordinator for all Futures Lab projects, managing the resources, time, and helping with set up.

DAY TO DAY
Making orders, and tracking deliveries; gaining permits when required.
Multiple demos going on from different teams – this person will be responsible for working between the different departments and marketing team - to ensure demos are set up on time.
Day to day coordination of equipment & space.
Ensuring set ups are completed & adhere to standards.
Communicating with internal/external stakeholders.

MUST HAVE
Can do attitude – rolls up sleeves.
Needs to be persuasive and diplomatic - ensuring that compliance is met and time frames delivered upon.
Excellent communication - written & verbal. This person will be communicating with all aspects of the business - internally & externally.

REQUIREMENTS

•Degree in an engineering/scientific area would be beneficial but not a prerequisite.
•2-3 years of experience in a project management or merchandising capacity.
•Candidate MUST HAVE can-do attitude; willing to roll up sleeves and get work done.
•Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and effective time management.
•Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and costs for maximizing effective project completion.
•Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
•Computer Skills: Office/Microsoft, Trello, MS Powerpoint

NICE TO HAVE
PMI/PMP certification is a great to have, not a prerequisite.
